To Quit or not to Quit by Dick Innes but poem by author unknown

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowlege him and he will make your paths straight"(or he will direct your path).  Proverbs 3:5-6

Poem: To quit or not to quit

When things go wrong as they somtimes will, and the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When funds are low and debts are high, and you have to smile, but you want to cry, when care is pressing you down a bit, ..... rest if you must but don't you quit.

Life is queer with it's twists and turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns, and many of failures turn about, when he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow, you may succeed with another blow, success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems so far, so stick to the fight when your hardest hit, it's when thing seem worst that you must not quit.  Author Unknown

 continue comment with Dick Innes:

To quit or not to quit?  That is often an extremely difficult decision to come to.  There are times when we may need to change our direction, our job, or our location, or quit a destructive or "just-plain-not-going-anywhere" situation.  The important thing is not to quit because we are running away from a situation we need to face and resolve.  At the same time, it's equally important not to hang in too long and to keep "flogging a dead horse!"

But how do we know when to hand in and when to quit?  ?After we've done everything we can to redeem a bad situation without success, sometimes we still don't know.  It's then that we need to commit our situation to God to seek his direction, and just plain trust him that the decision we make is in harmony with his will for us.

In times like these I ask God to give me the insight to see reality and the truth about the situation in question.  Once I see this, I know what I need to do.  Then I pray for the courage to do it.

God hasn't promised to make our decisions for us or to tell us what to do.  What he has promised is wisdom, guidance, and understanding and to be with us as long as we are genuinely seeking to walk in his ways.  This is why in every situation I commit it and myself to God and trust him to guide and direct me.

                                     SUGGEST PRAYER

Dear God,

Help me to trust you with all my heart in every situation and not depend on my own understanding so I can know in my heart that you are directing my path.  Gratefully in Jesus Name. AMEN

 Lo-Lo's personal comment

Being 52 years old, i have been in these type of situations many times in my lifetime.  I always prayed for wisdom and courage to make that decision for the best for me and/or my daughter.  I always have faith and when the time came it always seemed to be the right decision.  I am there again and not only do i pray for answers for my decision but I have other people praying for me as well.  Prayer is very powerful in numbers.  The difference this time for me is that i am old, sick and really tired but i am alive so i will continue to ask for guidance in my situation and definitley for strength.

Hello World, I'm Back!

Hello!  I'm back!  I've got a heart full of inspiration, and a big dreamer of a mind, to help you out.  If you feel alone, you're not.  If you feel like you can't go on, You Can, and You will.  If you feel like the world is crashing down around you...well, you will get through it.

If you keep your eye on these pages.  I will give you the inspiration, and share my horrible experiences, so that You too, can get through it.

One Step at a time.  Don't give up just yet.  I haven't.

Love, MissGordon

About keep the faith

This is just a way of getting through to people who are about ready to give up on life.I myself was into passive suicide-drinking myself into oblivion self medicating -over medicating -not caring about myself life or anything  around me. This is a selfish way to live. Please know life is a challenge. Sometimes it seems there is no fairness in this world. In reality life is not fair it is no bowl of cherries-but adversity and struggles make us who we are.You are here for a purpose a reason. I am not a Bible pusher -But believe there is something greater than ourselves at work-I just wan people to know iff you need to talk I am here please feel free to contact me- I don't have all the answers -I am not rich but I have been a homeless worthless messed up junkie trying to die.So if you do need support I am here.
